NNPP Holds National Convention in Abuja, Elects New Leadership

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) held its National Convention in Abuja yesterday, drawing party stakeholders, delegates, and leaders from across the country. The event, observed by officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), marked a key moment in the party’s internal democratic process.

During the convention, Dr. Ahmed Ajuji was elected as the new National Chairman, while Mr. Dipo Olayoku emerged as the National Secretary. Other key national executive positions were filled unopposed, signaling unity and consensus within the party’s leadership ranks.

Former Kano State governor and party stalwart Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso (RMK), who was in attendance, expressed satisfaction with the smooth conduct of the convention. He congratulated the newly elected executives and encouraged them to uphold the values and principles of the NNPP.

Kwankwaso emphasized the importance of discipline, loyalty, and focus as the party continues to position itself as a major political force ahead of future elections. He reaffirmed his belief in the party’s vision to offer credible alternatives and drive national development.

The convention ended on a hopeful note, with renewed calls for unity and strategic planning to strengthen the NNPP’s presence across Nigeria and engage citizens, particularly the youth, in its reform-driven agenda.
