Trump Confirms US Strike on ISIS Terrorists in Northwest Nigeria on Christmas Day

Former US President Donald Trump has confirmed that the United States carried out a targeted military strike against Islamic State (ISIS) militants in northwest Nigeria. The announcement came on Christmas Day, following months of Trump’s public warnings about rising violence against Christians in the region.

The airstrike, reportedly conducted with precision drones, targeted a known ISIS enclave believed to be responsible for a string of attacks on Christian communities. Trump described the operation as a necessary step to protect innocent lives and send a clear message.”

Although full details of the mission remain classified, early reports suggest that the strike successfully neutralized several high-profile militants. No civilian casualties have been confirmed so far, and the Pentagon has not yet released an official statement.

Trump’s move reignited debate over US military involvement in Africa, with supporters praising it as a strong stand against religious persecution, while critics warned of potential diplomatic tensions and escalation.

Nigerian authorities have yet to comment on the strike. Meanwhile, international observers are closely watching the region to assess whether the operation will reduce extremist threats or provoke further unrest.
