Going even further, the industrialist committed 1,000,000 to the Super Eagles if they go on to win the AFCON final, plus an extra 100,000 per goal scored in that final match. This brings the total potential reward from BUA Group to over 1.65 million a substantial show of support.
The pledge has been widely praised by Nigerians and football stakeholders as a patriotic act that reflects belief in the team’s potential. Many see it as a morale booster at a time when national unity and pride are being channeled through sports.
As the Super Eagles prepare for their semi-final clash, Rabiu’s commitment adds to the growing support from Nigerians at home and abroad, all hoping to see the national team lift the continental trophy once again.
