Nigerian military forces have successfully rescued 13 survivors and recovered 27 bodies following a tragic boat accident in Nguru Local Government Area of Yobe State, located in the restive northeastern region of the country. The incident occurred amid ongoing security challenges that have plagued the area for years. Local authorities confirmed the operation on Wednesday, highlighting the swift response by troops deployed to the scene.


According to military sources, the rescue operation was launched promptly after the boat capsized while transporting passengers across a waterway in Nguru.
